Create a gift of LOVE using what you have!

I'm not a very proficient sewer. But my kids don't know that!

My kids were huge fans of these over-sized pillows I made for them one year. And I was a huge fan of coming up with a Valentine's surprise that didn't cost me anything but a little bit of time and whole lot of love.

Sincere expressions of love can be simple, thoughtful, AND thrifty.

This week consider creating a gift of love using what you already have!

These pillows were made from my son's old crib sheets, a torn bed sheet belonging to my daughter, and some scrap material from my fabric stash that was gathering dust. The pillow forms were from an Aunt who never found use for them.

Think of what you already have--or more specifically, what supplies you've been storing for all these years! Come up with a creative way to use those supplies to express your love for the valentines in your life.

Not only do you refrain from spending additional money, but you also eliminate some of those things you've been storing!
