The kidlets loved putting together this thoughtful Valentine's gift for dad.
We came up with 100 reasons why we love dad.
I asked the younger children why they love daddy and wrote their responses just as they said them. My big girls wrote their reasons on their own.
The older ones cut out the hearts, my 4 year old was thrilled to experiment with the hole puncher, and my 1.5 year old laughed as she looped the metal ring around her finger and paraded the finished pages around the room.
The kids were so proud to present their gift to dad. Each in turn exclaimed "That one's from me!" whenever dad finished reading one of their reasons.
The reasons they came up with were adorable. As parents it was insightful as we identified how each child defined love. It was obvious by their reasons that they equate love with time together. It will be so fun to read through this little treasure again in future years.
I was very happy with this simple gift project. It was inexpensive because we used materials we already had. It provided a fun way for me to spend time with the kids and celebrate the Valentine holiday. And it was a gift from the heart as it took effort and thought for my children to put into words specific reasons why they love their father so much. Doing so helped them feel a greater appreciation for this good man in their lives.

This is one of the favorite gifts I have received from you children. I still have my Mother's Day booklet. So very precious and without price! It is one of my treasures. I have it here with me on the mission.
